Help:Namespaces

Pages on WikiKnowledge are grouped together in namespaces. The namespaces available are:

  • (Main) The main namespace where most content goes.
  • User Pages about users.
  • WikiKnowledge For pages about WikiKnowledge.
  • Image For descriptions of images.
  • MediaWiki System pages.
  • Template For templates.
  • Help For help pages.
  • Category For categories.
  • News For writing news stories.
  • TransWiki For useful articles deleted from other wikis.
  • WK For shortcuts to WikiKnowledge pages.'

All the above namespaces also have a corresponding talk page, for example "Category talk" or "News talk". These talk pages are used to discuss the page or for Meta data.

The MediaWiki software also contains another namespace called Special. This namespace does not have talk pages to go with it. You also can't create any pages in the special namespace as they are all made by the software.
